The 7 | Stevens ??

Hey everyone! We’re so excited to have started up another blog. It’s been awhile and we’ve done so many things, that we decided it’s time to begin anew. And, of course, we want to be able to share it with you! So here it goes…..

We’re the 7 Stevens! And that photo there just about sums us up: crazy, loud, tired, hot, beautiful, and – honestly- not really sure what’s going on most of the time. But here we are: Reed, Angie, Jonah, Lizzie, Ethan, Mailon, and Mary!

So what the heck are we doing here? Well, thanks to a pretty great job and a fairly odd sense of adventure (I mean really, who wants to live full-time overseas? We have anxiety just thinking about it!), we have been given the opportunity to get to know the world we call home. And so far, it’s been great. Oh sure, there are highs (being in the Swiss Alps? Wow.) but there are also lows (transmission failure in a foreign country comes to mind here). But highs and lows are what livin’s all about, right? That’s what we thought, so we might as well throw it up on a blog and let everyone celebrate and commiserate right along with us….That’s the hope anyway.

This blog will be a compilation of where we live, things we do, places we visit, and everything in between. Pictures, videos, and stories of all the chaos. We’re not gonna lie, moving around all the time is hard. It’s hard on the kids. It’s hard on the parents. We’re always starting over. Always a new beginning. With all this moving around, there’s a lot of time spent trying to ‘find ourselves’. And we’re done. It’s not that we’ve found ourselves really, but as Mr. Shaw put it,

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

So from here on out, we’re going to start creating….and we’d like to make sure it’s with you. Together.
